My work focuses on translating complex ideas into accessible and engaging visual storytelling, particularly for environmental, cultural and research-led organisations.

Since establishing my freelance practice in 2023, I’ve collaborated with clients ranging from the University of Cambridge and medical technology firms to nonprofits and independent businesses, creating illustration, branding and visual communications across print and digital platforms.

Much of my work focuses on translating ideas, research and stories into clear, engaging communication for public audiences.

My background in fine art, photography, art history and arts education informs an approach that is both visually driven and strategically grounded — combining creativity, clarity and collaboration to create meaningful communication.

Specifics

  • I’m an expert in the full Adobe Creative Suite from InDesign for layout to Dimension for 3D design. But, there is always something new to learn and I make sure to stay up to date with technology.

  • For years I built websites using Wordpress, even being the first in my department as a teacher to champion course delivery around blogging. I now use Squarespace- integrating in CSS for customisation.

  • My first love is photography, having studied it at University. I have utilised these skills for clients for product, portrait and wedding photography. I have also exhibited and sold my fine art and landscape work.

  • I create and edit video content across short-form and long-form formats, from social media reels to multi-day instructional films. Working in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition, I focus on clear, engaging storytelling designed for audience reach and impact, with videos achieving strong audience engagement, including a YouTube video surpassing 85K views.

  • I’ve worked with organisations to review and refine their online presence through detailed website and social media audits. By analysing visual identity, user experience, content strategy and platform performance, I help identify opportunities to improve engagement, clarity and overall digital impact.
